We started our trip in London and we made our way to Oslo, Norway where we spent the night. The next morning were left Norway and we headed to Spitsberg where we stayed another night. The next morning the real fun started and flew to Borneo the Russian base camp at the Arctic where we were briefed on surviving the North Pole.

They gave us our sleds (cool!) and we had to load up our helicopter with our sleds and supplies. Everything we took with us had to come back so we were careful not to pack too much and to make sure we took essentials because when you leave for the North Pole you can’t forget anything.
We were dropped off with all our supplies and the first thing you see is white. So much white! We got all our things together and started the trek to camp. We walked for SIX hours towing our sleds and kit.
We pitched our tent and the went to our friend Jason’s tent for dinner. Jason has been the North and South Pole before so he had all the cool stuff you need when you’re camping.
While we all waiting for dinner, Daddy was playing BrickBracker on his mobile phone. He didn’t have any phone coverage but still could play the games. After dinner, Jojo Daddy and I went back to our tent to sleep. Alex and Jason were in a tent.
The next morning we went back to Jason and Alex’s tent and had breakfast which was bacon and eggs - we all dug in being cold makes you hungry!
I’ll fill you in about the rest of our trip next blog!
Stay Cool,
Sam!
